I HAVE EIGHT CHILDREN, I JUST WANT TO SALE ONE TO FEED THE FAMILY
A man wrapped his 3 years old boy in a rice sack to sale. This man has been apprehended by the Nigeria Police Force in Akwa Ibom State after he was caught trying to sell his 3-year-old son. He managed to put his 3 year old boy in a rice sack before transporting it to where he wanted to go and sell it before he was caught.
According to Sam Ibok, who posted the sad event on his Facebook page, the suspect is said to be the father of 8 children, so he has now decided to sell one to use the money to cater for the rest of the children.
“When caught by the Police, he said he has 8 children and that he wants to sell this one to feed the others.
He has been arrested and he’s cooling off at the police station”- Sam Ibok posted on his Facebook page.
Is the hardship too much in this continent or is out of weakness for him to sale his own blood. We have all the resources to make us enjoy life to the maximum but what do we see? Hunger and poverty at every corner has made some people to do unthinkable thinks. People don't have mercy or love for each other again.
Robbing is now the order of the day. After many years in school students graduate and find no job on the market, all because our tertiary institutions rely solely on the archaic system of the 3R's thus reading, wRiting and aRithmetics. Our system only promote these three basic skills from kindergarten untill the graduation day. Why do we still dwell on these fruitless academic system of the 19th century. Whilst other nations and continents have made progressive moves to embrace positive changes. The time to be fruitful is now or never.
We have be too lazy a time now and there will be no one to safe us when our generation die of hungry and poverty. Could it be that, we are too lazy to think of any progressive initiatives? What could actually force a man to sell his own child?
