GHANA PREMIER LEAGUE; SULLEY MUNTARI SPOTTED TRAINING WITH ACCRA HEARTS OF OAK TEAM, IS HE BACK TO THE GPL?
SULLEY MUNTARI has been without a club since ending a short spell with Spanish second division club Albacete in 2019.
The 37 year old was spotted training with Hearts’ players on Tuesday. This has sparked some media rumours in the air waves he may move to the Accra base team.
SULLEY trained with the Phobians three ago and there were high hope that he was returning to the Ghana Premier League but the management of the team.
“Hearts of Oak wants to notify the general sporting public that we have not signed Ghana International Sulley Muntari as it’s being reported by the media,” Hearts announced on social media on Friday night.
After sometime the then Hearts CEO, Frederick Moore, also revealed to the media that the club may sign the veteran midfielder.
“Sulley Muntari is a very good player and if he is available and affordable to Hearts of Oak, of course we will be interested,”
“But at the moment, if we were even talking to him, I would not tell you.”
“Sulley is a great player and a friend of the club. We will continue to unveil the players we have signed.
The midfielder started his career in Ghana with Liberty Professionals before moving abroad to play for AC Milan, Sunderland, Pescara, Deportivo La Coruna and he even won the Champions League with Inter Milan.
