 LECTURERS TO RESUME ON MONDAY, 21st FEBRUARY 2022, UNIVERSITY OF PROFESSIONAL STUDIES ACCRA



An official release from the management of the University of professional studies Accra indicates that the school is ready to resume on the 21st February 2022.


The institutions registrar who was a signatory to this letter dated on the 16th February 2022 indicates that, as a result of the rulings of the Labour Division of the Accra High Court which granted an interlocutory injunction against the industrial action by the University Teachers Association of Ghana (UTAG).


The management are therefore informing the public and the student body to resume school on Monday to kick start the 2021/2022 academic year.

Following the ruling by the High Court that lecturers should return to the lecture halls, the University Community is hereby informed that lectures will begin on Monday, February 21, 2022.

Due to the above letter the Director of Academic Affairs of the institution Anthony Afeadie has gaven out the arrangements for re-opening for first semester. 

“FIRST SEMESTER-2021/2022 ACADEMIC YEAR UNDERGRADUATE AND DIPLOMA FRESH STUDENTS

All Level 100 undergraduate and diploma students are hereby informed that pursuant to the earlier notice dated Wednesday, 16th February, 2022 issued by the Registrar of the University, arrangements for re-opening for the remaining part of the first semester-2021/2022 academic year are as follows:

• Reporting date for the University's hostel residence- Sunday, 20th February, 2022.

• First six (6) weeks of the semester-In-person teaching session (i.e. Monday, 21 February, 2022 - Sunday, 3 April, 2022).

• Second six (6) weeks of the semester - Virtual teaching session (i.e. Monday, 4th April, 2022- Sunday, 15th May, 2022).

• Revision week - Monday, 16th May - Sunday, 22nd May, 2022.

End of first semester examinations - Monday, 23 May, 2022 - Sunday, 5th June, 2022.

Inter-Semester break- Monday, 6th June - Sunday, 26th June, 2022

In matters of accommodation the JCR Chairman Kingsley K. Yeboah, has also informed the incoming residents to come along with a copy of the proof of hostel disbursement sheet and two passport sized photos for the hostel registration along with 50 Ghana Cedi's for the payment of hall souvenirs.


“NOTICE TO ALL LEVEL 100 UPSA HOSTEL INCOMING RESIDENTS.

Incoming residents are hereby informed that pursuant to the earlier notice issued by the Registrar and Academic Affairs Director, reporting date to the hostel is 20 February 2022. Incoming residents are to come along with a copy of the proof of hostel disbursement sheet and two passport sized photos for the hostel registration along with 50 Ghana Cedi's for the payment of hall souvenirs.
